Rīgas Ogļu Termināls

Rīgas Ogļu Termināls (ROT), a Riga Port Group company, is suitable for handling all types of bulk cargoes, currently specialising in the handling of various types of coal. The terminal is located on Krievu sala and commenced operations in spring 2019.

The terminal's infrastructure is suitable for Capesize class vessels. Modern handling equipment and machinery are used at ROT. 

Stationary and mobile humidification equipment is used to suppress bulk cargo dust. The operational area of the terminal is bounded by a wind (dust) fence over 2 km long and 17 m high, which minimizes the ingress of dust into the surrounding environment. Technological processes are regularly monitored and improved to minimize the environmental impact of cargo handling and storage processes.
