Latvia - Kazakhstan: new prospects for cooperation

Miķelis Lapše, Chairman of the Board of Riga Port Holding, as one of the leading representatives of Latvian port terminal and private railway operator companies, took part in the business forum "Latvia-Kazakhstan: new prospects for cooperation" organised by the Baltic-Kazakh Economic Cooperation Association from 10 to 14 September.

The main objective of the business visit was to establish new business contacts, expand the client base and build closer cooperation with existing clients. During the visit, meetings were held with members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the management of the Mining and Metallurgical Association, Kazakh Invest, the Kazakhstan Investment Agency, Astana International Financial Centre, Kazlogistics, a transport industry association, and the management of various companies who expressed their willingness to expand cooperation between Latvian and Kazakh companies.
